Session 1: Painting Reflections & Moving Water

In this class, we’ll focus on painting flowing water and its reflections in a plein air setting. Learn techniques for capturing the movement, depth and reflections of water, while exploring color mixing for natural water tones. You’ll also discover wet-on-wet watercolor techniques to create soft, fluid effects that bring water to life on your paper. The beauty of Coal Creek will be our live subject, providing a rich backdrop for your artwork.
