Experience the joy of fresh, local, and sustainably grown produce with our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program at Three Leaf Farm.

From June 7 to October 18,
enjoy 20 weeks of seasonal vegetables, herbs,
and greens straight from our fields to your table.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers that fosters a direct, mutually beneficial relationship. Consumers purchase a "share" of the farm’s harvest at the start of the growing season, providing farmers with upfront financial support to cover operational costs. In return, members receive a regular supply of fresh, seasonal produce and other farm products, often on a weekly basis. CSAs promote local, sustainable agriculture, reduce food miles, and create a sense of community by connecting people to the source of their food.

CSA Basics & FAQ

1. What is a CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a partnership between a farm and community members who purchase a “share” of the farm’s harvest at the beginning of the season. Members receive regular deliveries or pick-ups of fresh, seasonal produce throughout the growing season.

2. How does a CSA work?
You pay upfront for the season, which helps the farm cover production costs. In return, you receive a weekly share of the farm’s harvest during the growing season.

3. What’s included in a CSA share?
Shares include a variety of seasonal vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Membership & Commitment

4. Can I customize my share?
Unfortunately, due to the newness of our program, we cannot customize shares at this time.

5. What if I’m on vacation or miss a pick-up?
You can arrange for someone else to pick up your share or provide an alternate pick-up day. Please notify us in advance if you can't pick up on your scheduled day.

6. Is there a refund if I can’t continue the season?
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds since the upfront payment helps cover the farm’s operating costs. Purchases are non refundable.

Produce & Seasonality

7. What kinds of produce will I get?
Shares include seasonal produce, so your box will change throughout the season. Early weeks might feature greens and radishes, while mid-season brings tomatoes and zucchini, and late-season includes squash and root vegetables.

8. Will there be enough food for my family?
We offer different share sizes. A small share might be perfect for individuals or couples, while a large share can typically feed a family of four or more.

Farm Practices

9. Is the produce organic?
Our farm grows in 100% organic methods, although we are not officially certified.

11. Where does the produce come from?
All produce is grown on our farm.

Pick-Up & Logistics

12. When and where do I pick up my share?
Pick-up is at the Farm, 445 S. 112th Street, Lafayette, on Saturday mornings, 9:30 am - 2 pm, June thru Oct

13. Do I need to bring anything for pick-up?
Many CSAs ask members to bring reusable bags or boxes to reduce waste.

Community & Additional Benefits

14. Are there perks to being a CSA member?
Our CSA offers bonuses like farm tours, recipes, newsletters, or discounts on additional farm products.

15. Why should I join a CSA?
CSAs support local farms, reduce food miles, and connect you to where your food comes from. They’re also a great way to eat fresh, seasonal, and sustainably grown produce.

CSA Program Disclaimer

By joining our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, members share in both the rewards and inherent risks of farming. Purchasing a share supports the farm's operations and provides members with a portion of the harvest throughout the season.

It is important to understand that agriculture is inherently unpredictable, and factors such as weather, pests, and disease may impact crop yields and availability. While we employ best practices to maximize the quality and quantity of our harvest, there is no guarantee of a specific amount or variety of produce in each share.

As part of the shared commitment, no refunds will be issued for crop failures, bad weather, or other natural problems. No refunds will be provided for any reason. By purchasing a CSA share, you acknowledge and accept these terms, embracing the community-supported model and contributing to a resilient local food system.

Thank you for your support and partnership in this agricultural journey!
