Bee Sippers – Hand-building in Clay (1 day class) | May 18
Sunday, May 18, 2025 | 10am - noon
Get ready for summer gardening with this fun, bee-friendly workshop! Join us for a creative and nature-inspired pottery class where you’ll create several custom watering cups designed to hydrate the visiting bees and other pollinators in your garden. Using basic hand-building techniques, you’ll create a series of “bee sippers” designed with flower elements to attract pollinating bees and provide just the right amount of water (1 tsp) to prevent mosquitoes. You’ll have a variety of glaze options to choose from, and all materials are included.
Following the clay workshop and behind the scenes, your instructor will slowly dry your finished work, bisque fire, glaze with your chosen color, and glaze fire. Your finished pieces will be available for pickup about two weeks after the class.
This 1-day, hands-on ceramic workshop is intentionally limited to a smaller group of participants to ensure personalized instruction in an intimate environment. Held outdoors in the lovely setting of Three Leaf Farm in Lafayette, CO, this class is open to adults (ages 18+). No experience needed - all levels welcome!
