Discover the calming art of clay as we draw inspiration from the late summer flora. Join us at Three Leaf Farm to create your own unique set of small dishes with pressed botanic designs. During this two-part workshop, you’ll explore how fresh herbs, plants, and flowers leave beautiful, one-of-a-kind impressions in clay. Let the beauty of nature and the serenity of the farm inspire your creativity in this memorable, relaxing experience.

During the first class, you’ll learn the basics of hand-building as we roll our slabs and decorate with physical impressions of a variety of botanical leaves and flowers into 2-3 custom dishes. Between the class dates, your instructor will slowly dry and bisque-fire your pieces. In the second class, we’ll gather again to glaze your pots, choosing from a range of colorful glazes to showcase the textures and patterns of your botanical dishes. Pots will be fired by the instructor after each class and available for pick up 2 weeks later. We will be using mid-fire cone 5 clay and a variety of food-safe glazes.

This intimate workshop is designed for a smaller group to ensure personalized instruction in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Set outdoors at the picturesque Three Leaf Farm in Lafayette, CO, this class is open to all adults (ages 18+) regardless of experience. All materials and firing costs are included. No experience needed - all levels welcome!
