Moon One: Introduction to Wicca and Discovering the Self

Each moon cycle of the year and a day, you will have time to review the information presented to you, and to complete a short exploratory assignment to deepen your knowledge and expand your perspectives.

Moon One Assignments:

Read through the information provided and purchase any books recommended.
Begin your Book of Shadows (BOS). For now, I recommend a book in which you can easily add and remove pages so that you can compile information easily from many sources, including the downloads in these units.
Choose a God or Goddess who appeals to you, and prepare a short, simple explanation about that Diety, the tradition from which they come, and why you chose that particular archetype. Indicate below which you’ve chosen.
Set up your altar, take a photo and email it to the group with an explanation of what you’ve chosen to put on your altar and why.
Consider whether you wish to have a magical name. Indicate below if you do or do not, and why.
